So today I embark on a journey to share my unpopular views with the world. Being a bit of a realist… I come to you straight sharing my views on any topic as long as it sparks controversy.
So I start with my first five items on my unpopular views. As you read my inaugural blog on this Emancipation Day (still August 1 in my part of the world :)) for my fellow African-descents I want you to emancipate yourself from mental slavery and know that it is okay to have unpopular views.
- Working hard carries the slowest returns. Lying, cheating, stealing are the quickest returns but may just cost you more, that’s why hardworking people simply hold down a 9 to 5 and pay taxes and rich folks just evade taxes and collect tax breaks.
- Feminism is over-rated! I mean seriously women still want a man who is in-charge and foots the whole bill. No, enough of this 50-50 and we can do the same jobs. That is just outright rubbish! So ladies enough of the working on a construction site – it is only making you lose your sex appeal and men quit being hairdressers the next time I see a guy with a curling iron in his hand I am gonna lose a screw!
- Men cannot handle a successful woman. Full-stop. The minute you start climbing the corporate ladder or doing too much better than your man – he either leaves or cheat on you with an absolute “bimbo”… why is that? Clearly because he wants a woman who is beneath him, not his equal or more successful woman. Not a “man-basher” but I have been there, done that and worn the t-shirt!
- Whether you are man or a woman – never stay in a job that is designed to make you struggle. Quit complaining about the fact that you cannot pay your bills and get up and find a way to pay your bills – go back to school, start looking and applying for new jobs. Go and win that interview or create your own opportunity – there is nothing wrong with starting a business. This requires no help from the government – this is all you!
- Affirmative action in the US is overused – yes black people have gone through a lot however when do we bounce back and walk on our strong black feet and show that we are above affirmative action???
Anhow…Just a brief insight into my Unpopular views. Let me know what you think…
